Field Deployment Technician
Location: Lafayette, LA (On-Site 5 Days/Week
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Field Deployment Technician to support a large-scale technology deployment project for healthcare facilities throughout Southeast Louisiana. This role involves the installation and setup of hardware necessary for a major system implementation. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in technology, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities

Deploy hardware, including printers, barcode scanners, computers, and accessories, at hospitals and clinics.

Assist with cable management and the setup of technology equipment.

Coordinate with healthcare staff to schedule deployment activities, minimizing disruption to operations.

Travel to various healthcare facilities throughout the region as required for the project.

Support device replacements, upgrades, and installations.

Maintain accurate documentation and provide status updates on deployment progress.

Provide professional customer service to end-users during deployment activities.

Follow project timelines and adapt to changing priorities to ensure successful technology rollouts.

Required Qualifications

Education: An educational background in a technology-related field is beneficial but not required. Candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an IT program are encouraged to apply.

Experience: Previous technical experience is not necessary. An interest in IT and a desire to gain hands-on experience are essential.

Strong soft skills, including communication, a willingness to learn, and motivation.

Ability to interact professionally with healthcare workers to schedule deployments.

Must be able to work on-site five days a week.

Must have reliable transportation for travel to various sites.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a role such as desktop support, technical support, or hardware deployment.
