About the Role This field-based role requires you to reside in the Greater Los Angeles, CA area (South Bay) to execute brand strategy and drive sales within an assigned territory, focusing on patient-centered care while complying with AbbVie's policies and all applicable laws and regulations. The role is field-based and compensation is commensurate with experience. What You'll Do
- Deliver sales performance and meet brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives for the territory.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Effectively handle objections and gain logical calls to action to close on sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win–win outcomes for AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease states, product, and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team and brand team to align strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify disease-state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience; or at least five (5) years of experience in lieu of a degree; high school diploma/GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; strong selling and presentation skills.
- Proactive in identifying customer style/behavior and adapting selling approach; ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Proven track record of success in sales with innovative ideas to maximize opportunities; strong scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge; recognized as a credible resource.
- Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking; ability to provide impact and anticipate changes; communicates effectively with peers and stakeholders.
- Ability to influence others and build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
- HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations; may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations; AbbVie provides support to meet these requirements.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass drug screening; willingness to travel; ability to use personal or company vehicle. Nice to Have
- Proven track record of success in sales within the therapeutic areas.
- Experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing in the pharmaceutical industry.
