We’re looking for an early-career FAE to support Bay Area hyperscalers, OEMs, and network vendors integrating our Active Copper Cable (ACC) and Active Electrical Cable (AEC) products. Guided by senior engineers, you’ll support bring-up, interop, and qualification on-site.

This customer-facing role suits an engineer who enjoys travel, including short-notice and same-day site visits, linking customers with our Interop and firmware teams in Conway, Arkansas.

What You Will Do

Perform link bring-up, link training, and power-up/reset checks on customer platforms

Support demos, evaluations, and qualification testing at customer sites

Set up and maintain test setups, cables, and equipment for customer engagements

Debug & Issue Reproduction

Reproduce field issues and relay findings to the Conway, AR Interop and firmware teams

Collect logs and CMIS telemetry from Linux hosts/switches (ethtool, lspci, i2c-tools)

Support OSI Layer 1/2 debug and root-cause analysis (Ethernet, PCIe, InfiniBand)

Data, Reporting & Documentation

Clean and organize field test data, logs, and telemetry for analysis

Write clear customer-facing reports, field issue summaries, and basic metrics

Track samples, evaluation units, and faulty units/returns through analysis and resolution

Document procedures and results; script log collection/data processing (bash/Python)

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Be the voice of the customer, sharing field feedback with engineering teams

Track customer escalations and follow up with engineering through resolution

Grow alongside senior FAEs, Interop, and firmware engineers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Tech, or related
  • 1–3 years in systems integration, interop/validation lab, test, or FAE roles
  • Networking and embedded fundamentals; hands-on with equipment, cables, test setups

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
  • Enjoys travel (up to ~50%) incl. short-notice/same-day visits; valid driver’s license
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible when priorities change

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Exposure to CMIS or active cables, DSPs/retimers, or Ethernet, PCIe, or InfiniBand
