Job title: Field Application Engineer Intern (Hardware)

About the Role Join Marvell as a Field Application Engineer Intern (Hardware) supporting FAEs in Suzhou and Shanghai. You will gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge PAM4 DSP, linear TIA, drivers, Coherent DSP, and optical technologies while collaborating with senior FAEs and the U.S. application team. The internship may be conducted at Marvell Wuhan or Marvell Shanghai/Suzhou offices, and interns who complete the internship with satisfactory performance may receive a full-time offer after assessment.

What You'll Do

• Assist senior FAEs in reviewing customer schematic and layout designs involving PAM4 DSP, Coherent DSP, driver, and TIA in optical modules, AEC, NPO, XPO, and CPO etc.
• Support SI and PI simulations.
• Support lab activities to tune and optimize customer product for improved performance under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Participating in product bring-up and evaluation, performance testing, and debugging at lab.
• Join customer support to assist in debugging issues in the customer system.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, FAQs, and internal training materials.

What We're Looking For

• Pursuing a Master’s and Ph.D degree in Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated System, Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering or related field.
• Fundamental understanding or research of AMS high-speed SerDes (e.g., PAM4), analog TIA, driver chip designs and optical communication systems is preferred.
• Strong willingness to learn, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Able to commit at least 4-6 months or more.
