About this role
The Concord Community Music School in Concord, NH seeks an experienced fiddle teaching artist to work with students of all ages in private and group settings within the Folk Department. The position involves teaching and supporting students and families, with opportunities to lead ensembles, group classes, early childhood classes, jam sessions, and community or summer programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach private fiddle lessons
- Potential to lead jam sessions, group classes, and ensembles
- Potential to lead group early childhood classes
- Collaborate with the Folk Department chair to support students and families
- Attend the annual faculty meeting and open house
- Prepare students for recitals
- Explore opportunities to participate in the school’s community and summer programs
Requirements include:
- Degree in music or equivalent work experience
- Documented successful teaching experience
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
