Job title: Female Teaching Associate (Part-time on call)
About the Role This Female Teaching Associate (FTA) is a part-time on-call position within the Boonshoft School of Medicine, Office of Medical Education in the Skills Assessment and Training Center. This role instructs medical students and other health-related personnel on proper procedures for conducting a basic, accurate and comfortable clinical gynecologic pelvic and breast exam, including communication, technical, clinical and patient skills.
What You'll Do
- Instruct medical students and other health-related personnel on procedures for conducting a basic, accurate and comfortable clinical gynecologic, breast and pelvic exam.
- Participate as teacher, trainer, proctor and actual patient when working with medical students and other health-related personnel.
- Instruct the students in learning appropriate communication, technical, clinical and patient education skills.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old; must be self-confident, sensitive, and have a strong concern for women’s health issues; must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and teaching abilities; must be comfortable in dealing with varying student populations; familiarity with medical environment and role-playing are helpful, but not necessary.
- Essential Functions and percent of time include: 40% instructing on exam procedures; 30% participating as teacher/trainer/proctor/actual patient; 30% instructing on communication, technical, clinical and patient education skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $36.29 per hour (minimum hourly rate).
- This is a part-time on-call position in a professional clinical setting.
