Job Summary

Our client is seeking a hardworking, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Female Housekeeper to join its housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, orderliness, and presentation across assigned guest rooms and hotel areas while ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms and designated hotel areas to the required standard.

• Make beds and replace bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, and other linen as required.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.

• Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and other facilities.

• Replenish guest-room amenities, toiletries, drinking water, and other supplies.

• Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged and ready for inspection and guest occupancy.

• Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or faulty equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

• Handle cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment safely and correctly.

• Keep housekeeping equipment, trolleys, cupboards, and storage areas clean and organised.

• Follow assigned cleaning schedules, room checklists, and hotel housekeeping procedures.

• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests and communicate guest concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Protect guest privacy and handle guest belongings with care and professionalism.

• Immediately report lost-and-found items in accordance with hotel procedures.

• Assist with deep cleaning and periodic cleaning of rooms and other hotel areas.

• Support housekeeping operations during high occupancy, weekends, holidays, and special events.

• Maintain proper personal grooming and professional appearance at all times.

• Comply with the hotel's health, safety, hygiene, security, and operational policies.

• Perform other housekeeping duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / WAEC / NECO.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, domestic services, or hospitality is an advantage.
• Good understanding of basic cleaning and hygiene practices.
• Ability to operate basic housekeeping equipment and use cleaning products safely.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Honest, responsible, reliable, and hardworking.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respectful attitude and commitment to guest privacy.
• Good personal hygiene and professional grooming.
• Physically fit and able to perform routine housekeeping duties.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during busy hotel periods.
