About the Role As a Federal Project Manager, you will drive the full lifecycle of a high-impact, nationwide modernization program within Motorola Solutions' PMO. You will report to the Lead PM and coordinate across distributed teams to ensure program-wide alignment, schedule adherence, and operational excellence. What You'll Do
- Provide direct PMO support to the Lead PM, including creating and managing task lists, action item registries, and meeting minutes.
- Collaborate on Documentation & Governance to develop Statements of Work (SOW), RACI matrices, and staffing requirement plans.
- Contribute essential input for integrated scheduling and develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) tailored to contract scope and program goals.
- Support lifecycle management across concurrent design and deployment contracts, coordinating PMs, Engineers, and Service Technicians.
- Ensure strategic alignment between technical execution and corporate goals, including Sales objectives and customer relationship management.
- Maintain close relationships with the Lead PM, Lead Program Engineer, Technical Service Manager, and Customer Service Manager.
- Oversee subcontractor and partner work scopes, and contribute to subcontract development and performance monitoring to ensure third-party compliance.
- Be a key contributor to a nationwide modernization effort with flexibility to work from customer locations, the PMO, or a home office, and travel regionally as required. What We're Looking For
- Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of project/program management experience, or 5+ years of project/program management experience.
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Willingness to travel regionally (25-50% of the time). Nice to Have
- Experience supporting federal modernization programs or government/Public Safety contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts in a concurrent project environment and strong communication skills. Compensation & Benefits
- Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 USD per year.
