Job title: Fashion Design and Merchandising Residential Adjunct - College of Arts and Sciences
Liberty University is seeking a part-time Residential Adjunct in Fashion Design and Merchandising to teach courses in the residential Fashion Design program within the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. The role supports LU's mission and involves classroom instruction, student engagement, and grading, onsite at Liberty's Lynchburg, VA campus.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, particularly in the residential Fashion Design program. Areas may include Design and Construction, Textiles, Fashion Illustration Skills, Draping for Apparel Design, Merchandising, and Flat Pattern for Apparel Design.
- Deliver lectures and assess student work; manage classrooms and grading.
What We're Looking For
- Education and Experience: Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the Fashion Design discipline or related areas. All degrees must be from institutions accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to Liberty University's evangelical Christian mission and doctrine.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff; strong organizational skills; ability to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision; English proficiency (spoken and written); advanced computer skills; classroom management.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Courses are typically paid at $800 per load hour.
