About the Role The role focuses on delivering and coordinating family services, health, and family/community engagement content for the assigned Head Start center. You will partner with families to support development goals, provide parent education, and maintain documentation and data accuracy to support program outcomes. What You'll Do
- Implement the family services, health, and family/community engagement content for the center to which you are assigned.
- Support the Head Start mission and work with families without judgment, recognizing and respecting individual differences and backgrounds.
- Build positive, strength-based partnerships with parents, coach families in identifying family development goals, and support families in creating and implementing family plans.
- Be familiar with all content areas of the Head Start Program Performance Standards and carry out the responsibilities described in the plans.
- Provide parent education (health & safety, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, parenting, budgeting); maintain communication with parents regarding screening and assessment results; document services provided.
- Complete at least 3 visits per year with assigned families focused on family goals, needs, and connecting to community resources.
- Ensure an ongoing schedule of contacts with assigned families every 4-6 weeks to monitor needs, progress toward family goals, and engagement.
- Provide ongoing family support and case management to address identified needs, crises, referrals, and follow-up.
- Create a plan for recruitment of families for all program options with the ERSEA Coordinator and other Head Start family service staff, including activities such as open houses, resource fairs, and community events to promote collaboration and presence.
- Act as a liaison and advocate between the community and the Child Development program; maintain strong community partnerships; stay current with local resources and attend community meetings as assigned.
- Maintain organized family files; keep records up to date per CAPHR and Child Development procedures; responsible for data entry and tracking of health, nutrition, and assessment data using the Child Plus system; compile data for the PIR.
- Implement health content to ensure every enrolled child is up to date with well-child care per NH EPSDT including necessary follow-up. What We're Looking For

- Experience or ability to build partnerships with families, provide parental education, and coach families toward measurable goals.
- Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and data collection/record-keeping requirements (e.g., Child Plus, PIR).
- Strong communication, advocacy, and community networking skills; ability to document, monitor, and follow up on services.
- Ability to plan and execute recruitment/engagement activities with ERSEA coordination and staff.
- Organizational skills to maintain case management files and data integrity. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $20.83 - $24.03 per hour (USD), based on Education and Experience.
