About the Role The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) in Brookville, NY invites applications for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty position in veterinary skills. The role focuses on teaching, laboratory leadership, and service, with potential appointments at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor and options for clinical or tenure-track tracks.
What You'll Do
- Clinical and didactic teaching in veterinary skills courses, including collaboration with LIU-CVM partners/affiliate veterinary hospitals.
- Lead or contribute to veterinary skills laboratories; participate in curriculum development and the creation of innovative learning resources; engage in committee work (admissions, curriculum, research, etc.).
- Actively participate in curriculum development and contribute to the college's teaching, scholarly and service missions; pursue research as time allows.
What We're Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree; working knowledge of curricular design and implementation.
- Ability to promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusiveness; strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with University administration, the veterinary education community, faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
- Interest in contributing at both clinical and tenure-track contexts and at the Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor levels.
Nice to Have
- Specialty boards and advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000-$160,000 per year (USD).
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
