Job title: Faculty - Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging
About the Role The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) invites applications for a full-time, part-time, or locum faculty position in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging at the Brookville, NY campus. The full-time role may be tenure or clinical track, with responsibilities spanning teaching, curriculum development, service, and scholarly activity. The position supports a distributed model of clinical education with LIU-CVM partner/affiliate hospitals.
What You'll Do
- Clinical and didactic teaching in diagnostic imaging for pre-clinical and clinical years.
- Serve as course director for diagnostic imaging courses (pre-clinical and clinical).
- Actively contribute to curriculum development and creation of innovative learning resources.
- Engage in committee service (admissions, curriculum, research, etc.) and other service activities.
- Contribute to the college's research and scholarly goals, developing independent or collaborative research in diagnostic imaging, including work with LIU-CVM partner/affiliate veterinary hospitals.
- Promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and collaborate effectively with university administration, faculty, staff, students and alumni.
What We're Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree with expertise in diagnostic imaging.
- Specialty board certification or eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Radiologists or equivalent.
- Advanced training in diagnostic imaging; a PhD is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to promote diversity, equity and inclusion and to interact with stakeholders across the university.
- Willingness to contribute to teaching across pre-clinical and clinical years and to engage in curriculum development and research.
Nice to Have
- PhD or advanced research training in diagnostic imaging.
- Experience as course director or leadership in curriculum delivery.
- Experience with distributed clinical education models and affiliate hospital collaborations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $120,001 - $175,000 USD per year.
