About the Role Gannon University seeks a full-time, 12-month faculty member to join the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program located on the Ruskin, Florida campus. The position may be filled on a teaching or tenure-track basis, with rank determined at the time of hire, and begins July 1, 2026. The program is face-to-face, 9 semesters long, and has recently earned a 10-year CAPTE re-accreditation. What You'll Do
- Deliver student-centered, evidence-based physical therapy education and contribute to teaching across the DPT curriculum.
- Advise students, participate in scholarly engagement, and provide interactive teaching and learning experiences.
- Collaborate inter-professionally within the university and the broader professional and community context; engage in service activities for the program and university.
- Contribute to the program's development and maintenance of high-quality clinical education, including assignments related to clinical education sites as appropriate. What We're Looking For
- Post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DHS, DSc, etc. or ABD) or a DPT; content expertise to help determine teaching load.
- More than three years of clinical experience and at least three years of clinical teaching as a clinical instructor and/or site coordinator of clinical education.
- Eligible for Florida state licensure as a physical therapist.
- Rank will be awarded by the Provost and Vice President for Student Experience at hire per university standards. Nice to Have
- ABPTS specialty certification
- Expertise in musculoskeletal physical therapy
- Expertise in exercise physiology
- Prior teaching experience in an entry-level PT program
