Job title: Faculty - Large Animal Medicine (Tenure or Clinical Track)
About the Role The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) in Brookville, NY invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or clinical-track faculty position in Large Animal Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, clinical service, and scholarly activity, supporting LIU-CVM's mission of excellence in veterinary education, research, and service.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical and didactic teaching in Large Animal Medicine across pre-clinical and clinical courses
- Supervise the Production Animal Medicine clinical clerkship and participate in ambulatory services and Veterinary Skills courses offered in DVM semesters 1–6
- Engage in curriculum development, identify or create innovative learning resources, and participate in committee service (admissions, curriculum, research, etc.)
- Contribute to LIU-CVM's research and scholarly goals, develop independent or collaborative research in Large Animal Medicine
What We're Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree and expertise in Large Animal Medicine
- Specialty board certification/eligibility by ACVIM-Large Animal or ABVP or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to contribute to teaching, service, and scholarship; eligible to work in the United States (contingent on eligibility)
Nice to Have
- Board certification/eligibility (ACVIM Large Animal or ABVP) is preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000–$175,000 per year
- Status: Exempt (FLSA)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
