Faculty — Healthcare Management and Leadership

About the Role Montreat College's School of Arts and Sciences seeks a full-time faculty member in Healthcare Management and Leadership to teach and shepherd a developing program in a Christ-centered traditional residential undergraduate setting, with plans for future graduate studies. The role emphasizes integrating business acumen, health policies and practices, and basic biology/medical science, with attention to data and information security in healthcare. What You'll Do

• Ten-month annual contract with an expected teaching load of approximately 35-40% in business/leadership/technology for healthcare; 35-40% in basic biology/medical-science subjects; and 10-25% in program development, administration, and recruiting.
• Collaborate across departments to shape and lead a developing program.
• Engage in institutional service including committee work and student academic and professional advising/mentoring.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned by the Provost within the Faculty Handbook.
• Creative collaboration around data and security in the healthcare industry. What We're Looking For
• Earned terminal degree, preferably in business or a health-related natural science field; at least one graduate degree in business or equivalent; and one or more degrees or professional experience in the healthcare industry, with professional credentials and ability to teach basic undergraduate biology.
• Strong Christian faith and commitment to Christian Liberal Arts education and the integration of faith with disciplines.
• Teaching excellence and willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff across departments; commitment to professional development.
• Experience teaching in Christian higher education preferred. Nice to Have
• Interdisciplinary ability to operate cooperatively in the context of data and information security in the healthcare industry; ability to shape and lead program development; established professional network in healthcare.
