The Facility Cleaner will carry out daily manual cleaning across offices, public areas, restrooms, corridors, and back-of-house zones, and provide light equipment support (mop systems, vacuums, and basic floor-care machines) to the wider Cleaning & Janitorial team. The role requires a dependable, hygiene-conscious individual who follows set cleaning schedules and standards in a live, high-footfall public environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out daily cleaning of floors, surfaces, fixtures, glass, and furniture across assigned zones (offices, public areas, corridors, back-of-house).
-
Clean and disinfect restrooms and washroom facilities to a consistently high hygiene standard, restocking consumables as needed.
-
Empty and manage waste bins and trolleys, following correct waste segregation and disposal procedures.
-
Use manual cleaning tools correctly (mops, brooms, squeegees, cleaning caddies) and follow colour-coding/cross-contamination protocols.
-
Operate light cleaning equipment such as mop/scrubber machines, upright and back-pack vacuums, and floor driers under guidance, supporting the Cleaning Equipment Operator team on larger tasks.
-
Follow scheduled cleaning zone plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent coverage and finish quality.
-
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following product labels and site safety procedures.
-
Report maintenance defects, spillages, hazards, or equipment faults promptly to the Supervisor.
-
Use correct signage (wet floor/caution signs) during and after cleaning operations to ensure public safety.
-
Support event-based deep cleans and turnaround cleaning during high-footfall periods as required.
-
Work courteously and safely around members of the public, staff, and visitors at all times.
-
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum basic education (primary/secondary); no formal certification required, though a cleaning/hygiene training certificate is an advantage.
-
1–3 years' experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or similar cleaning role is preferred; motivated candidates with less experience will also be considered.
-
Basic literacy sufficient to follow cleaning schedules, safety signage, and chemical labels.
-
Willingness to learn and operate light cleaning equipment (training provided).
-
Physically fit and able to be on your feet for extended periods, including bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
-
Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, based on operational and event schedules.
