Facilities Technician, WW Hauler - Temporary
This role is responsible for on-site water and wastewater (WW) management to keep trailers, restrooms, and food service operational.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pump out black-water tanks from the office trailer, restroom trailers, and Airstreams using a specialized vacuum/pump truck
- Fill potable-water tanks on Airstreams, restroom trailers, food trucks, and mess-hall tanks
- Drive and operate a dedicated water/wastewater truck; connect and disconnect hoses for each fill or pump-out cycle
- Regularly check tank levels and schedule service to prevent running out of potable water or overflowing holding tanks
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional experience hauling water and wastewater
- Class B CDL with Tank Endorsement
- Valid driver's license
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of professional driving experience
- Professional experience hauling wastewater
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- WW / Hauling background
- Experience servicing waste tanks and wastewater systems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice
- Ability to travel to other SpaceX sites as needed
- Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.; lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, are required to perform the functions of this position
