Job title: Facilities Management Mechanic Manager

Hyundai is seeking a Facilities Management Mechanic Manager to lead and coordinate facility management activities in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role oversees maintenance of utility generation equipment, drives preventive maintenance programs, budgeting, supplier relationships, and audits to support production goals.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate, monitor, and perform facility management activities related to utility systems in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct audits of utility machinery operating conditions and provide maintenance recommendations based on findings.
  • Plan, install, inspect, and perform corrective, scheduled, and preventive maintenance on utility/WWTP equipment (air compressors, HVAC units, piping, chillers, cooling towers, generators, etc.).
  • During new facility construction, plan, manage installation, inspection, and training.
  • Visually inspect utility equipment and facility issues; identify malfunctions, wear, misalignment, defective parts, and deterioration.
  • Manage mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of utility generation equipment (air compressors, dryers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, HVAC systems).
  • Respond to work requests and service calls; perform a variety of tasks supporting the organization; provide troubleshooting and sketches or computer-generated designs as needed.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with BMS, EMS, and SMS requirements; uphold safety standards.
  • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives; oversee development and achievement across the organization.
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate planned shutdown maintenance to keep machinery in good condition.
  • Lead all Utility Machinery Management operations including purchasing, maintenance, repair, inventory, transportation, storage, and cleaning.
  • Review and write maintenance reports; develop and modify periodic and preventive maintenance plans to reduce failures.
  • Set up the budget for machinery improvement; manage shop budgets and supplier relationships.
  • Build rapport with suppliers and other manufacturers; communicate regularly with Production engineers.
  • Prepare for audits and quality inspections.
  • Manage purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance materials; monitor the maintenance budget across shops.
  • Supervise and resolve conflicts and support staff well-being; involvement in recruitment, disciplinary actions, appraisals, etc.

What We're Looking For

  • Substantial experience in facility management within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of utility generation equipment maintenance (air compressors, chillers, HVAC, pumps, cooling towers) and related systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning, audits, budgeting, and supplier management.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with engineers in Production.
  • Familiarity with business and safety management systems (BMS, EMS, SMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
