About this role
The Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on boilers, chillers, circulation fans and HVAC equipment at the Sunbury site.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on boilers, chillers, circulation fans and HVAC equipment at the Sunbury site.
- Maintain and service HVAC systems in a manufacturing environment, following relevant procedures and safety standards.
- Utilize CMMS systems for work planning and documentation as part of daily duties.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and documentation to support maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to ensure reliable operations.
Requirements
- Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities and good math skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems and intermediate blueprint reading skills.
- Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Certifications and special trainings include: EPA Certified Refrigeration Handler Class Universal, NFPA70 Arc Flash Training, Liebert Environmental cooling systems, Low Pressure Chiller Training, Ohio Fire Detection License, Building Automation Controls training.
- Physical demands: stand/walk 8/12 hours per day; work 5-7 days per week; lift up to 35 pounds frequently.
- Work environment requirements: able to work in extreme heat or cold, in dusty and noisy conditions, in a manufacturing environment, and able to work planned and unplanned overtime.
- Education and/or Experience: Facilities Technician I, II, III at various levels (Skilled and Competent, Excellent, Outstanding / Role Model) for both Technician and Senior Technician tracks; Principal, Chief levels also listed with corresponding proficiency levels.
