This role works closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, support capital projects, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in engineering principles, hands-on experience with facility systems, and the ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize facility and utility systems such as HVAC, chilled water, boilers, compressed air, water treatment, gas distribution, and related infrastructure.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase system efficiency, reliability, capacity, and safety.
  • Lead or support root cause investigations for system failures, process deviations, and equipment performance issues; recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop, review, and update engineering documentation, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, operating procedures, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Support the planning, design review, installation, commissioning, startup, and turnover of new equipment and facility upgrade projects.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, EHS, and project teams to support daily facility operations and long-term improvements.
  • Evaluate system performance using process data, trends, and key performance indicators; prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure facility systems and engineering activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in risk assessments, hazard reviews, and change management processes for facility modifications and system improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians, operators, and junior engineers as needed.
  • Support contractor oversight, vendor coordination, and project execution activities.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for assigned projects and maintenance activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with facility systems and process utilities (e.g., HVAC, boilers, water treatment, gas distribution).
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and documentation.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
