Facilities Custodian

About the Role Join Dayton-Granger, Inc. as a Facilities Custodian (Cleaning Specialist). You’ll keep our Fort Lauderdale facility spotless, safe, and welcoming across restrooms, offices, lobbies, and production areas on a 1st shift, full-time schedule. What You'll Do

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, lobbies, conference rooms, and other assigned areas; ensure spaces are fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Provide “white glove” service to maintain a polished environment across all common and shared spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling daily and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Maintain exterior cleanliness around entrances, walkways, and employee gathering areas.
• Complete routine cleaning and maintenance request tickets in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, restocking consumables, and completing minor repairs as needed.
• Assist in preventative maintenance efforts and promptly report any facility issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Facility Engineer Manager.
• Interact professionally with employees across all departments and respond to facility-related needs with a customer service-oriented approach.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management to support the facility’s overall cleanliness and functionality. What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a janitorial, custodial, or building maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and buffers.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Pre-Employment requirements: background check and drug screen. Nice to Have
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, office, commercial building, or industrial facility.
• Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and OSHA safety protocols.
