About the Role We’re seeking a Facilities Corrective Maintenance Mechanic to apply relevant expertise in Wolfspeed's high-tech electronics and semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role involves solving problems with limited supervision to keep day-to-day operations running.
What You'll Do
- Respond and troubleshoot alarms (temperature, humidity, air/water pressures, water levels, etc.)
- Respond to emergencies such as water leaks and power issues
- Start/stop equipment such as boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and generators
- Monitor and maintain plantwide systems and diagnose issues
- Make decisions on project completion and prioritization with limited supervision
What We're Looking For
- Electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to write routine reports
- Knowledge in lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics or troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Valid US driver's license
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly; ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment; stand/walk on hard concrete; repetitive motions
- Fall protection use if required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
