About the Role The Operations Specialist will be an integral member of the UCSF Human Islet and Cellular Transplantation Facility (HICTF) operations team, under the guidance of the Operations Manager. The role supports GMP cell therapy manufacturing and the daily maintenance of the process development lab, ensuring compliance with UCSF policies, regulations, and safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Execute operational tasks within the UCSF HICTF, a GMP facility dedicated to the manufacture of experimental cell therapies.
- Support the daily maintenance of the process development lab and assist requests from Dr. Shy’s research lab.
- Ensure compliance with UCSF policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for the labs and support key administrative activities.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a GMP or regulated laboratory environment.
- Ability to support operational tasks and administrative duties in a fast-paced research setting.
- Familiarity with cell therapy manufacturing processes and translational research workflows (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
