Job title: Fabrication Forklift Driver
About the Role The Fabrication Forklift Driver provides materials to the fabrication department and operates forklift equipment to support manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes safety, accurate material handling, and coordination with supervisors to meet daily production needs.
What You'll Do
- Operates forklift equipment as required, ensuring safety standards are followed.
- Moves raw materials to fabrication machines as assigned.
- Conduct all materials movement procedures in accordance with established Company policies and procedures and safety regulations.
- Place all materials in the designated area.
- Ensure all material is verified accurate per request designated.
- Communicate with Supervisors to ensure clear lines of communication.
- Multi-task and prioritize in accordance with company daily schedule and requirements.
- Monitor and report any material damage or discrepancies.
- Hoppers are to be dumped after machines change their cut material.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating forklift equipment and knowledge of safety procedures.
- Ability to follow safety policies and company procedures.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with Supervisors.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize according to daily schedule.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm-12:30 am).
- Attention to verify material accuracy and maintain documentation.
- Commitment to safety and prudent working practices.
