Fabrication Associate
Come create your career with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for a Fabrication Associate in Phoenix, Arizona. Must haves: 6 months recent machine operation; Ability to use and understand tape measures; Use of Gauges for quality checks. Nice to have 3-6 months Sit down forklift.
Responsibilities: Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies. Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures. Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication. Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately. Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread pipe using Landis machines. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Qualifications: Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard. Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe (training provided). Results-focused in a fast-paced environment. Capable of reading a tape measure accurately. This is a full-time, contract opportunity. Shift: Monday through Friday (Saturdays possible/OT as needed). Shift: 5 am to 1:30 pm. Pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific duties.
