What You'll Do
- Lead/support external client consulting engagements involving the advancement of the CFO agenda, examining a company’s internal finance and accounting processes and advising on solutions to increase processing efficiency, drive automation, or reengineer processes to align with future-state target operating models, while supporting data analytics and technology solutions.
- Identify and assess business needs, develop tailored solutions, assess the Finance function, perform operations diagnostics, optimize financial processes, provide tailored training, and build financial and business models.
- Lead / support business development initiatives including service offering development and roll-out, proposal development, responding to RFXs, and participating in oral presentations.
- Specialize in a particular area, service offering, or industry and support subject-matter advisors and relevant go-to-market activities in that area.
- Assist in managing the financial and commercial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders; and build strong internal relationships within FAAS and across EY’s service lines including Consulting, Assurance, Tax, and Strategy & Transactions.
- Lead projects or workstreams, develop junior staff, and collaborate with team members across a wide variety of clients and sectors.
- Our managers are seen as future leaders of the team; targeting 2-4 years at the level to build the skills to become a go-to person in an industry, functional specialty, technology solution, or other discipline key to EY’s success. What We're Looking For
- Ability to navigate both business development (clients, projects, thought leadership, and opportunities) and practice development (quality, risk, and people management) needs.
- Experience leading external client engagements in FAAS FO, with practical accounting skills, experience in financial reporting processes, cost and management accounting, performance management, systems and analytics, and industry experience across multiple sectors.
- Strong client relationship management and networking abilities, and the ability to collaborate across EY practices (Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver value to CFOs and finance leaders.
- Targeting 2-4 years at the FAAS FO Manager level to build skills and progress to more senior roles.
