About the Role

• Our client is seeking an experienced and technically competent Extrusion Machine Operator to join its production team.
• The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating plastic film extrusion machines, preferably LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE extrusion machines, with a strong understanding of machine settings, material handling, film quality, production processes, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines efficiently and safely.
• Set up extrusion machines according to production specifications.
• Prepare and load raw materials such as LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE for production.
• Monitor film thickness, width, clarity, strength, and overall quality.
• Adjust machine temperature, speed, pressure, and other settings to maintain consistent production.
• Identify and troubleshoot common extrusion machine and production issues.
• Monitor production processes to minimise material waste and machine downtime.
• Ensure proper winding, cutting, and handling of finished film products.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and report machine faults promptly.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and production procedures.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining required quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience operating plastic film extrusion machines.
• Experience with LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE extrusion is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of extrusion processes, machine setup, and production procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot common extrusion machine and film production issues.
• Good understanding of temperature control, film thickness, material mixing, and machine adjustments.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, or plastic manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an added advantage.
