About the Role The External Wholesaler represents all PGIM Global Wealth products (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternative investments, CITs) to investment professionals within a Chicago-based territory and is responsible for raising net new assets while servicing existing client bases across Wirehouses, Regional Broker Dealers and RIAs. Travel is required; this role is based in a home office within the geographic region with access to a major airport, traveling approximately 80% of the time. What You'll Do
- Represent all PGIM Global Wealth products across retail and retirement platforms to investment professionals in your territory.
- Raise net new assets and service existing client bases across Wirehouses, Regional Broker Dealers and RIA Aggregator firms.
- Differentiate investment strategies, provide technical information and articulate benefits relative to competitors.
- Demonstrate expert understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, capital markets and related topics.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to align resources to expected sales outcomes. What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of experience in the asset management distribution industry, with 3-5 years of sales to financial intermediaries.
- Self-motivated with successful territory management and selling skills; able to drive objectives autonomously.
- Willingness to travel extensively in the field (approximately 80%).
- Required licenses: Series 7 and Series 63 or 65.
- Strong communication skills; able to effectively communicate one-on-one, electronically and in group presentations.
- Knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternative investments and related investment vehicles; solid understanding of asset allocation and capital markets. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100,000 per year base; eligible for discretionary annual incentive program and participation in the PGIM Global Wealth Sales Compensation plan.
