About the Role Macquarie University's Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking expressions of interest to join a casual academic pool in the School of Computing for 2026. The role supports teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate units and offers opportunities for involvement in teaching sessions and assessment. Selected EOIs may be considered for Session 2 2026 and will need to demonstrate strong scholarly teaching, effective communication and collaboration with students and staff. What You'll Do
- Provide teaching support for computing units across undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- Support tutorials, labs, and assessment activities and be available for student consultations as required
- Complete the EOI process by uploading CV, degree/testamur, and a cover letter; participate in the compulsory Qualtrics survey; and, after initial review, may be asked to prepare a short video to demonstrate teaching style What We're Looking For
- Completed Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Computing or a closely related discipline
- Sufficient discipline-specific knowledge
- An understanding and appreciation of scholarly teaching
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively with students, staff and the community
