Job Description OBOR Logistics Nigeria Limited, a leader in international freight forwarding, is seeking an Export Customer Service Officer to manage client relations and streamline export operations.
This role is crucial for coordinating international orders, supporting export documentation, and ensuring clients receive timely updates throughout the shipping process.
You will be the primary point of contact for international buyers, addressing inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with international buyers via email, WhatsApp, and phone calls.
- Respond to enquiries about product specifications, moisture content, purity, packaging, loading, pricing, delivery schedules, and inspection standards for agricultural and mineral products.
- Follow up on enquiries and sample requests.
- Track the full order cycle, including order confirmation, stock preparation, sampling and inspection, container loading, booking, and vessel scheduling.
- Proactively provide customers with shipment updates.
- Support the documentation team in verifying packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, laboratory test reports, and other export documents to meet overseas customs requirements.
- Resolve customer complaints and exceptions, including quality disputes, weight discrepancies, and shipment delays. Coordinate with internal teams to propose solutions and mitigate claim risks.
- Maintain customer databases and order logs, keep communication records, and prepare regular progress reports.
- Collect market feedback on commodity prices and quality requirements.
- Liaise with the QA, warehouse, freight forwarding, shipping line, and finance teams regarding inspections, loading, payments, and bill of lading release.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Proven experience in export customer service or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of export documentation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with international clients.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
