Ready to grow your expertise in protection and control engineering? As a mid-level engineer within our Grid Automation team, you will support the successful delivery of high- and medium-voltage substation projects across the globe. You will combine your technical knowledge with hands-on project execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and reliable substation solutions. In return, you will gain exposure to complex international projects while expanding your skills and taking on increasing responsibility within a highly collaborative environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Create control and protection concepts for offers and projects involving high and medium voltage substations, ensuring technical feasibility and customer alignment.
• Review customer specifications, develop compliant engineering solutions, and support technical approvals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Coordinate and prepare work packages for detailed design, configuration, parameterization, and testing of bay-level protection devices.
• Partner with Substation Automation and Cybersecurity Engineering teams to deliver fully integrated substation solutions.
• Drive improvements in engineering processes, design methods, and configuration workflows to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, customers, consultants, regulators, and suppliers to support the successful delivery of complex projects.

What You Bring

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Around 3+ years of experience working with protection and control systems for high and medium voltage substations.
• Solid understanding of secondary systems engineering, including protection schemes, device configuration, and testing activities.
• Knowledge of Substation Automation and Cybersecurity Engineering concepts and their integration within substation projects.
• Confidence presenting technical topics and communicating effectively with international customers and project stakeholders.
• Strong English communication skills are essential; knowledge of German is highly valued.
