Experienced Virtual Medical Assistant (Associate)

As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in supporting clinics and healthcare professionals remotely, ensuring seamless patient care and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing patient scheduling for appointments, surgeries, and procedures
• Handling prescription refills and coordinating medications
• Performing insurance verification and supporting medical billing processes
• Maintaining and updating patient medical records
• Supporting telehealth consultations and virtual care coordination
• Facilitating communication between patients, families, and medical staff
• Providing general administrative and operational support to assigned clinics or providers

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BS Nursing or allied health graduate (registered or underboard)
• Background working in a BPO healthcare account or clinical/hospital setting
• US healthcare insurance verification experience
• Prior HIPAA/PHI handling experience or HIPAA training
• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Able to work a fixed night shift
• Work-from-home setup with a laptop/PC, reliable internet connection, and headset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience handling patient scheduling for healthcare providers (appointments, procedures, or surgeries)
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks (ECW), or Athenahealth
• Experience handling patient communications across phone, email, SMS, patient portals, and telehealth platforms
