Experienced Designer (m/f/d)

About the Role BRP-Rotax is seeking an Experienced Designer to contribute to the development, validation, and optimization of components and modules within complex systems. The role directly supports project delivery, engineering change processes (ECR), and overall product quality in line with Rotax’s engineering strategy. What You'll Do

• Design parts and system modules and contribute to related engineering processes (e.g. quotations, Bills of Materials, documentation).
• Deliver assigned work packages on time, meet functional, manufacturing, and cost requirements; independently execute or coordinate with the FPL Design role as needed.
• Oversee external designers when external resources are engaged; escalate only for non-standard/complex issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, review and validate drawings and designs for accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
• Apply engineering judgment to solve design-related technical issues; share best practices related to design software/tools (e.g. CAD, SAP).
• Ensure designs meet Rotax engineering guidelines and applicable standards. What We're Looking For
• HTL Matura or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design within complex systems.
• Strong experience designing components and system modules from concept to validation and release.
• Proficient in CAD tools (Creo, Windchill); experience with BOM management in SAP.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost constraints; able to work independently and support external design resources when needed.
• Collaborative team player with a strong focus on quality, standards, and on-time delivery.
• Fluent in German and English. Nice to Have
• Experience coordinating with external designers and adherence to engineering guidelines.
• Familiarity with Rotax engineering guidelines and standards. Compensation & Benefits
• Minimum salary: EUR 47,546.97 gross per year, in accordance with the metal industry collective agreement. Salary may be higher depending on qualifications and experience; attractive performance-based overpayment.
