About the Role
The Exercise Specialist works with the registered nurse to conduct the Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Treatment and education are provided to help patients safely regain functional abilities and adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle. The role also conducts and supervises Cardiac and Pulmonary Maintenance Exercise Program classes.
What You'll Do
- Completes Cardiac Rehabilitation Program evaluations.
- Documents patient data.
- Demonstrates group exercise leadership skills.
- Provides group and individual exercise education.
- Clinically monitors patient.
- Provides patients with a home exercise program (HEP).
- Conducts and supervises Cardiac and Pulmonary Maintenance Exercise Program classes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Four years of formal training or education beyond high school level (e.g., Bachelor's Degree).
