Job title: Executive Underwriter, Cyber & Professional Liability
About the Role Executive Underwriter to lead underwriting for Cyber & Professional Liability, reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Cyber & Professional Liability. You will underwrite new and renewal business, grow the portfolio profitably, and manage broker and client relationships in an assigned territory.
What You'll Do
- Underwrite new and renewal business in Cyber & Professional Liability
- Manage and service an existing renewal book; underwrite new accounts from brokers within assigned territory
- Conduct coverage analysis and tailor manuscript forms to client needs
- Perform pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools
- Present to brokers and insureds; develop and market proposals
- Achieve budget targets and maintain profitability; support strategic initiatives
- Build/maintain broker, client and partner relationships; stay informed of territory developments
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of proven Cyber and Professional Liability underwriting experience
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing environments; ability to deliver difficult messages while influencing outcomes
- Organized, self-motivated, leadership in approach to work; strong team player
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work collaboratively with team
- Understanding of people’s behaviors and how to deal with complexities
- CFA/CIP/FCIP/CRM designation is an asset
Nice to Have
- Additional designation assets; CFA/CIP/FCIP/CRM assets are advantageous
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary CAD 102,000 - 128,000 per year; eligible for bonus under the applicable incentive plan
