About the Role
Executive Medical Director, Global Medical Lead (GML), Pain is a critical leadership role in Vertex's Global Medical, responsible for the global medical strategy and implementation and tracking of global activities for a designated disease area(s). The role leads disease-area Integrated Medical Plan development, including the publication plan, global launch strategy and execution, scientific leadership, external medical expert engagement, and strategic alignment with commercial.
What You'll Do
- Lead development and execution of the disease-area Integrated Medical Plan (IMP), including publication planning, global launch strategy, and execution.
- Provide scientific leadership and engage external medical experts across the globe.
- Ensure strategic alignment of medical activities with commercial objectives.
- Oversee global medical activities, tracking progress and impact.
