About the Role
The Executive Director of Inpatient Imaging Services provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for UCSF’s inpatient imaging across all inpatient sites and community locations. This role ensures safe, efficient, patient-centered imaging operations and access that meet UCSF Health’s high-reliability, quality, access, and experience standards, while driving system-wide integration with ambulatory radiology services through a dyad partnership with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Access & Services. The position also oversees multidisciplinary teams, collaborates with faculty, clinical partners and business-unit leaders, and guides performance improvement, growth, and resource planning.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for UCSF’s inpatient imaging services across all sites.
- Ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered imaging operations and access that meet high-reliability standards.
- Drive system-wide integration with ambulatory radiology services through a dyad partnership with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Access & Services.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams; collaborate with faculty, clinical partners and business-unit leaders; drive performance improvement and sustainable growth.
- Lead administrative and strategic planning and coordination of staffing, fiscal, and material resources.
- Assist with development and implementation of new programs and policies.
- Provide vision, leadership, and accountability for initiatives aligned with institutional priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven strategic, operational, and financial leadership in inpatient imaging services across multiple sites (adult, pediatric) and community locations.
- Ability to ensure high reliability, quality, access, and patient experience.
- Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with faculty, clinical partners and business-unit leaders.
- Experience in program development and policy implementation, and strong administrative planning and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dyad partnership with ambulatory services leadership.
