About the Role Executive Director, Global Strategic Marketing will lead development of global marketing strategies for Gilead’s early inflammation pipeline. You will act as a player/coach, leading a team of early pipeline marketers and providing strategic input into commercialization of inflammation assets, including serving as Commercial Team Lead for key programs. This role is based in Foster City, CA. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the commercial strategic vision across Gilead’s early inflammation pipeline, balancing near-term and long-term priorities.
- Represent global commercial on Project Strategy Team and help shape clinical/regulatory strategy and planning with cross-functional colleagues.
- Establish and lead a cross-functional global early commercial team (eCT) and build integrated global strategies meeting global market, regulatory and payer needs as assets advance toward registration, approval and launch.
- Build strong working relationships with key markets (including ex-US) for development of global commercial strategies.
- Develop global brand profile and key marketing deliverables, including brand vision and value proposition, considering competitive landscape and differentiation.
- Conduct strategic marketing activities including market and competitive research and product positioning in collaboration with cross-commercial disciplines.
- Identify actionable insights from market research to ensure product/brand addresses unmet needs.
- Drive commercialization strategies to maximize asset value and patient access across lifecycle. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and 16+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and 14+ years, OR PhD/PharmD and 14+ years of relevant experience.
- Substantial inflammation-specific experience and market knowledge; managed care experience highly desirable.
- Experience in global marketing and affiliate experience US and ex-US.
- Familiarity with Gilead’s cross-functional G-Ecosystem and commercialization teams.
- Experience in product strategic planning, including differentiated brand positioning and messaging; ability to solve complex problems with ingenuity.
- Experience leading commercial assessments for business development opportunities; strong forecasting experience.
- Inspirational leader with the ability to motivate teams; excellent communication and influence across audiences and executives.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to inform strategy. Nice to Have
- Oncology marketing experience with global leadership.
- Global marketing leadership experience in US and ex-US markets.
- Experience working with inflammation portfolios and cross-functional G-Ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making in biotech/pharma.
