Executive Assistant to the Group Chief Operating Officer

About the Role

A premium real estate development company with operations in Abuja and Lagos is seeking a Civil Engineer with commercial project management experience to support the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO). The role involves executive coordination, project monitoring, commercial tracking and management reporting across the company's developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the GCOO’s calendar, meetings, correspondence and executive commitments.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and management reports.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, schedules, risks and outstanding works across Abuja and Lagos.
• Review project updates and flag delays, cost pressures and delivery risks.
• Track project budgets, contractor commitments, variations, procurement schedules and payment milestones.
• Maintain project dashboards, action trackers and commercial registers.
• Coordinate with project managers, technical, finance, procurement and other departments.
• Follow up on management decisions and ensure agreed actions are completed.
• Support site visits, inspections and project coordination meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in commercial project management, construction or real estate development.

• Understanding of construction programmes, project budgets, contractor management and variations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical, reporting, communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with senior management, technical teams and contractors.

• Must be based in Abuja or willing to work full-time in Abuja.

• Desirable

• Experience with a real estate developer or construction company.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

• Familiarity with cost control, procurement and contract administration.

• COREN membership or progress towards professional registration.
