About the Role The Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech I) keeps the hospital environment clean, sanitary, and safe for patients, visitors, and staff. This part-time position supports day shift operations and contributes to a hygienic patient care environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in assigned areas for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Safely operate and use industrial cleaning solutions and equipment; vacuum cleaners, wet/dry vacuums, trash compactors.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and reliable performance.
- Follow safety and infection-control procedures as applicable.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read and write in English; strong interdepartmental and public communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; think and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfort with lifting up to 45 pounds and performing physical tasks; ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals and bio-hazardous materials.
- Experience in commercial cleaning (minimum 3 months); healthcare experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Oregon Driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to stand, climb, stoop, bend frequently; travel to various locations may be required.
Nice to Have
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hours per pay period: 40; Shift: Day (AM); Part-time.
- Compensation: Hourly rate depending on experience.
