Job title: Events & Communication Associate

About the Role Endeavor Japan is seeking a colleague to support the development of Japan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. As an Events & Communications Associate, you will plan and execute events, build community, and manage relationships with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, while turning event outcomes into digital content to strengthen Endeavor Japan’s external communications. This role goes beyond event execution, as you’ll develop playbooks and processes for continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Event planning, program management, and management of annual event calendar; project plans, budgets, tasks; venue selection, catering, AV, vendor management; attendee management; and on-site operations.
  • Use project tools and AI to streamline workflows and create scalable processes; conduct post-event reviews; maintain event playbooks; design participant communications; craft event branding, names, visuals, landing pages and forms; invitations and SNS materials; photography and reporting; follow-up.
  • Manage event partners and sponsors; negotiate and manage contracts and deliverables; cultivate new sponsorship opportunities.
  • Stakeholder and community management: be the main point of contact with entrepreneurs, mentors, sponsors, and media; build relationships within startup/investor communities; participate in external events; analyze and report on community activities; plan activation initiatives.
  • Marketing & PR support: create content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and newsletters; produce event reports and highlight articles; manage brand guidelines; support marketing for large events; amplify Endeavor Entrepreneur community.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of experience in event operations or project management; experience managing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong project management capability and experience with process improvement.
  • Proficiency with Notion, spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel), and AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).
  • Experience planning event web pages and social media campaigns.
  • Partner and sponsor management experience; ability to negotiate contracts and manage deliverables.
  • Native Japanese and business-level English communication.
  • Design tool experience (Canva, Adobe) is a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively with entrepreneurs, investors, and executives; able to handle night/weekend events.
  • Available to commute to the Tokyo office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to Have

  • VC, PE, accelerator, or consulting industry experience.
  • Understanding of Japan’s startup environment.
  • Proactive, capable of driving end-to-end event concepts to execution; strong operations and creativity; keen on leveraging AI tools.
  • Passion for community building and startup support; enjoy continuous improvement.
