Event & Retail Marketing Team Leader

Event & Retail Marketing Team Leader to help us grow our business at various event and retail outlets in the Greater Houston area. You will work in the field managing promoters and will build your own team, coordinating with our design consultants through generated appointments. You will work closely with the Event Manager and Retail Manager to motivate and develop your team. You should be organized, energetic, flexible, assertive, and engaging, with a competitive spirit, and be able to train, coach, mentor, and inspire your team to meet and surpass objectives.

What You'll Do

• Hire, Lead, motivate and train staff in a competitive, high-energy environment.
• Build and maintain a team that can GENERATE LEADS.
• Daily communication with manager.
• Follow up and measure team performance; generate regular reports for management.
• Work in the field at various events and retail locations.
• Set up events when needed.
• Routinely check promoters' performance in the field.
• Role playing with promoters to ensure using script.
• Set an example for work ethic, integrity, team play and professionalism.
• Coach team to reach their full potential.
• Exceed goals and performance objectives.
• Assist in developing and pursuing new opportunities.
• Create schedules.

What We're Looking For

• Experience and qualifications: Team Leadership – mentoring, coaching and supervision.
• Ability to proactively approach consumers in a retail or event setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Time management.
• Problem solving.
• Must be able to work weekends and some nights.
• Possess the drive to succeed and surpass goals.
• At least 1-year experience in field marketing or promotions.
• Experience managing people and holding team members accountable to performance standards.
• Continuously build excellent team with high performing numbers.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
