Event Planning Manager
As an event planning manager on the Agency Marketing team, you’ll coordinate the annual event planning strategy, planning process, and delivery. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement plans that drive agent engagement through large-scale events and special projects. You’ll lead a team and manage vendors in coordinating new and recurring events from initial planning through post‑event evaluation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met at every stage. Additionally, you’ll define and optimize event planning and delivery processes, including identifying new vendors and/or software that drive efficiency.
This is a remote position that also includes frequent overnight travel, including weekends. Travel frequency is 1-2 times per month. Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
Minimum qualifications
- A minimum of ten years marketing, event planning, communications, or project management experience, with at least two years leadership experience (e.g., directly managing, coaching, mentoring, or leading cross-functional work).
- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field of study and a minimum of seven years marketing, event planning, communications, or project management experience, with at least two years leadership experience (e.g., directly managing, coaching, mentoring, or leading cross-functional work).
Preferred skills
- Extensive experience in event management, managing events of varying scale from project initiation, planning, execution, and follow-up.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including creating and managing spreadsheets for budgets, tracking expenses, timelines, and guest lists. Comfortable using formulas, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to organize event-related data.
- Experienced working directly with executives, including preparing materials, managing communications, and supporting executive‑level event needs.
- Demonstrated experience with vendor processes, including supporting Request for Proposal (RFPs) and contracts, coordinating onsite vendor logistics, and managing invoicing and expense tracking.
- Demonstrated experience defining, optimizing and managing complex processes.
Compensation
- $98,400 - $131,200/year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
