Job title: European Public Sector Business Development Lead
About the Role We are seeking a results-driven professional to support the growth of Telefónica’s European Public Sector business, ensuring a strong commercial presence in Brussels, developing relationships with institutional stakeholders and generating a qualified pipeline in priority accounts.
What You'll Do
- Identify and qualify business opportunities across EU institutions and agencies
- Build and maintain relationships with technical, procurement and business stakeholders
- Monitor procurement platforms and assess opportunities
- Support proposal development by providing market intelligence and institutional insights
- Represent Telefónica in meetings, events and relevant forums in Brussels
- Coordinate with internal teams
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline evolution and commercial activity
What We're Looking For
- Technical capabilities (must-have): Business development and consultative sales in B2B/B2G environments
- Opportunity identification, qualification and pipeline generation
- Knowledge of telecommunications, technology or digital services
- Soft skills (must-have): Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset (“hunter profile”)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively in formal and multicultural environments
- Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, technology or digital services
- Experience in business development, consultative sales or account support
- Fluent English (required)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the Brussels institutional ecosystem (desirable)
- French (preferred)
