About the Role Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking an Estimator for Life Sciences manufacturing projects. You’ll develop standardized cost reporting and estimating tools for pharma and life sciences facilities, validate project scope, estimates, and pricing against WBS and regulatory standards, and analyze costs using benchmarks and market intelligence for labs, cleanrooms, and production facilities. You’ll track design changes and report cost and schedule impacts, identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance, and document assumptions and exclusions for audit readiness. What You'll Do
- Develop standardized cost reporting and estimating tools for pharma and life sciences manufacturing projects.
- Validate project scope, estimates, and pricing against WBS, demarcation matrices, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze construction costs using benchmarks, parametric data, and market intelligence for labs, cleanrooms, and production facilities.
- Track design changes and report cost and schedule impacts.
- Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Document assumptions, exclusions, and estimate deviations for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to reflect current market conditions.
- Prepare ROM and construction-level estimates to support CAPEX planning and phasing.
- Align with client and internal stakeholders on estimates and delivery expectations.
- Ensure compliance with owner policies and regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, GMP, ISO).
- Engage in occasional in-person collaboration with flexibility to support work-life balance.
- Onsite at client site: work location is onsite to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships, with some in-person time for collaboration. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 3–4+ years of experience in cost management or estimating for life sciences, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated facilities. Nice to Have
- Master’s degree or equivalent (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field).
- Minimum of 7–10 years of cost management or estimating experience for civil, manufacturing, or life sciences/pharma projects.
- Proficiency in CostX or similar estimation tools.
- Knowledge of emerging construction technologies and trends (sustainability, modular manufacturing).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience as a Cost Manager or Estimator supporting large-scale, complex projects (labs, cleanrooms, GMP manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for detailed cost analysis and reporting.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in regulated, compliance-driven environments. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 – $165,000 per year (USD).
