Estimator

About the Role Ferrovial's Webber is seeking an Estimator to drive bid development for heavy civil projects, analyzing and preparing bids across earthwork, utilities, mechanical piping, and amenities. The role emphasizes experience with large projects and diverse delivery methods to support successful project wins. What You'll Do

• Analyze, prepare and review bids for heavy civil projects (roadway, highway, bridge) including earthwork, utilities, mechanical piping, and amenities.
• Perform take-offs and pricing, manage subcontractor coordination, and evaluate bid strategies across divisions (30-60% plans included).
• Track actual costs relative to bids as projects develop and monitor commodity pricing during buy-out.
• Consult with clients, vendors and internal teams to discuss project scope, strategies and resolve cost issues.
• Confer with engineers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes/adjustments to cost estimates.
• Review plans and specifications for compliance with standard industry practices for utility and water/wastewater projects.
• Review bid correspondence (plans, specs, bid forms, RFIs, clarifications, addenda) during bidding phase.
• Maintain a supplier/subcontractor directory using SmartBidNet; prepare sub-bid analyses and electronic estimates; document management for management planning. What We're Looking For
• Experience with all delivery methods: Hard Bid, CSP, CMAR, CMGC and Design Build.
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with estimating software (AutoCAD, Primavera, Timberline, WinEst, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word.
• Ability to work largely independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate in a pre-construction team.
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel. Nice to Have
