Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work to understand project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing and firefighting works in MEP projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from plumbing and firefighting drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review BOQs, material take-offs and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate them technically and commercially.
• Analyse material, labour, equipment, installation and subcontracting costs.
• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative materials or solutions without compromising project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project and tendering teams to ensure accurate estimation.
• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries and commercial comparison sheets.
• Maintain updated supplier databases, material prices and estimation records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, relevant standards and authority requirements.
• Support the tendering team in preparing final bid submissions within the stipulated deadlines.

Skills

• Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Relevant technical knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems.

• 4. Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Plumbing and Firefighting estimation and tendering.

• Mandatory experience in MEP contracting companies.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing and firefighting materials, systems and installation methods.

• Hands-on experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.

• Ability to interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications and tender documents.

• Experience in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Strong analytical, commercial and cost-control skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight tender submission deadlines.
