Key responsibilities

Do you want to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of equity valuations? Are you ready to solve complex valuation issues and work with teams across the business? Would you like to improve processes that support effective valuation control?

We are looking for an Equity valuations controller to join our Valuation Control Service (VCS) team in Mumbai and support equity valuation control globally
-
•calculate independent price verification (IPV) and reserves for Equity VCS delivery in India
-
•identify and resolve global valuation issues arising within UBS or from external regulatory bodies
-
•work with India management, trading desks, trade support and business unit controllers
-
•improve testing and analysis processes based on your understanding of the business and its positions
-
•contribute to projects, audits and India initiatives that strengthen Equity VCS

The team
-
The role will be in the UBS Valuations team based in Mumbai and functionally support Equity Valuation Control teams globally.
-
India team will jointly work with Onshore to execute processes while Onshore will perform final review of the work.

Your skills and experience
-
6–10 years of relevant industry experience
-
•strong knowledge of vanilla and structured equity cash and derivative products
-
good understanding of independent price verification (IPV), valuation adjustments, fair value hierarchy (FVH), IFRS 13 and prudential valuation processes at large investment banks
-
clear written and verbal communication, with strong presentation skills
-
experience working in a similar organizational structure with multiple onshore and offshore stakeholders
-
experience working with senior leadership teams on sensitive matters
-
hands-on Python experience is a strong advantage
