Job title: Equipment Technician
About the Role Equipment Technician responsible for evaluating, selecting, and justifying equipment for manufacturing, and for overseeing installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will liaise with vendors, drive uptime and throughput improvements, and support SPC/FDC and other process control needs in a cleanroom environment.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate, select, and justify equipment most appropriate and cost-effective for production.
- Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve issues and manage vendor performance to meet/exceed KPI, MTTR, MTBF goals.
- Initiate projects to increase uptime, throughput, cost savings, and resolve equipment problems affecting the manufacturing process.
- Review Process SPC data, set up equipment FDC and machine control; apply Fabguard and SECS/GEM capable configurations.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams; train shift members.
- Define and write preventative maintenance procedures and schedules; perform hardware troubleshooting; share lessons learned.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma with minimum 3 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of Disco/Wet Benches equipment experience; laser and wafer fab equipment is a plus.
- Able to work overtime and in a cleanroom environment; able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks according to procedures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, independence with a results-driven mindset; positive attitude and team player.
