Job title: Equipment Technician

About the Role Intel's Equipment Technician will troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to identify issues in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process. The role includes dismantling, repairing, installing equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, and drawings; plus setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance, coordinating with suppliers for service and repairs as needed. You will collaborate with Module Engineering on experiments and equipment configuration changes and support data collection activities; during ramp periods you will work with engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted to predesigns.

What You'll Do

  • Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to identify problems in non-functioning manufacturing equipment.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and install/assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  • Conduct setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment; coordinate with suppliers for service and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze related data to improve and maintain tool performance; create reports of system failures and update specs to support overall equipment maintenance.
  • Work with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, support data collection activities, and complete tasks per published procedures.
  • Support Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation to meet or improve module availability and performance targets.
  • During factory ramps, collaborate with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted to predesigns.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience preferred; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Work in shift: 12 hours with rotation day and night weekly; ability to stand long during working hours; able to support OT during festival and holiday seasons.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance; familiarity with technical documentation and procedures.
  • Other requirements: Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills; ability to work with precision instruments; basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic systems; good communication and teamwork abilities; willingness to learn and adapt; attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and procedures.
